BIT&BRAIN offers closed loop interventions using minimally invasive EEG-based brain computer interfaces that can be used by the patients at home by themselves or with the help of family/caregivers for sleep monitoring and memory improvement. Currently, a combination of centralised DNN and ML algorithms are used for (i) continuously decoding EEG activity during sleep to perform the closed-loop stimulation; and (ii) optimising the intervention while personalising it to the specific user characteristics.

By implementing the MANOLO framework the company plan to deploy a hybrid architecture with computation on the edge/gateway leading to minimal optimised models with reduced cost (<50%) HW cost reduction and explainable stimulation onset with >90% of decoding accuracy on the continuum.
