This report was developed within the context of the MANOLO project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 2021-2027, to shed light on (i) the Cloud-Edge Continuum (CEC) as a new trend, (ii) its needs and challenges in terms of efficient and trustworthy AI; (iii) available or forthcoming technological solutions; (iv) key actors (industry, policy and research arena); and (v) openly available resources for extending research activities.
