HELEN’s (Horizon Europe Legal & Ethics Network) main objective is to encourage collaboration, facilitate knowledge creation and sharing, and refine or develop effective solutions and methodologies. Its focus is on ensuring that new and emerging technologies comply with legal standards and uphold ethical integrity. By implementing Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) principles, HELEN promotes cross-project cooperation, knowledge exchange, and innovation, ensuring that research and technological advancements align with ethical values and protect fundamental rights.
The HELEN initiatives
The network’s initiatives rigorously addresses the legal and ethical challenges posed by recent technological advancements across various sectors. It emphasizes the distinct methodologies adopted by clustered projects while fostering robust and synergistic collaborations with complementary initiatives. To advance the network’s initiatives, HELEN will host and engage in international conferences, as well as national and international workshops that bring together a diverse array of stakeholders, including experts and practitioners from industry, academia, policymakers, and representatives from the European Commission. Additionally, the network will produce collaborative scientific publications and White Papers to disseminate insights and findings effectively.

We are excited to be part of this international network, to collaborate with other EU projects, exchange knowledge, refine or develop effective technologies, and drive innovation. Argyro Amidi, our partners’ FOURDOTINFINITY legal counsel, participates in this effort on behalf of the MANOLO project.
