What is MANOLO?
MANOLO is a three-year Research and Innovation Action (RIA) project funded by the European Union’s (EU) Horizon Europe Framework Programme under Grant Agreement No. 101135782.
MANOLO aims to deliver a complete stack of trustworthy algorithms and tools to help AI systems reach better efficiency and seamless optimization in their operations, resources and data required to train, deploy and run high-quality and lighter AI models in both centralised and cloud-edge distributed environments.

What is the Online Survey about?
Based on ongoing desk research and interviews with key experts (i.e., AI experts, Data experts, decision- and policy makers, regulators, etc.), the MANOLO team aims to better understand the cloud-edge continuum landscape with a special focus on efficient and trustworthy AI systems, to inform the industry-oriented development of the project’s requirements and solutions.
Through the Online Survey the MANOLO team aims to capture the current understanding about AI systems in the Cloud-Edge Continuum, including needs, challenges, barriers, and enablers related to efficient and trustworthy AI.
Who is the target audience?
Technology providers, AI experts, Ethics experts, Data experts, Cloud-edge Continuum experts, regulators, policymakers and other citizens in general.
Data privacy
The Online Survey will be anonymised, abiding by all European protocols and regulations.
Duration
The Online Survey will be conducted from the 6th of June until the 20th of June 2024.
The platform
The Online Survey will be conducted via the EU Survey platform, under the management of Q-PLAN International.
Analysis
The main findings will be reported in the MANOLO’s official report, whereas detailed scientific results may become available via scientific publications later in the year.
